Bachelor of Agricultural Economics and Development

With the support of Fondazione SAME, a partnership was initiated between the University of Milan and Mwenge Catholic University in Moshi to develop international training activities in the agri-food and rural development sectors.

In June 2025, four professors from the University of Milan visited Same to see the projects of the SAME Foundation and begin a dialogue with Mwenge Catholic University.

This collaboration found its first concrete application in November of the same year with the launch at MWECAU of the Bachelor of Science with Education, focused on Agriculture and Food and Nutrition, which enrolled 60 students in its first academic year.

Currently, the joint efforts of the two universities are focused on designing a new Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, aimed at developing skills for the growth of local agricultural supply chains.
